Science communication animation and graphics

Why animation?

We use animation for science communication because it breaks down barriers. Since people believe that 'everyone can understand a cartoon,' animation makes science less intimidating.

By its very nature, animation simplifies complex topics and is incredibly flexible. We produce everything from short, fun, action-packed mangas that tell the story of a rebellious Naked Mole Rat to clinical trial information videos for cancer patients and their families.

Who we are

Dr Adam McNamara

"I am a former neuroscientist and have run clinical trials myself. In fact, the first video I made stemmed from my frustration with attracting potential participants to my own study online. I currently manage all video productions and produce many of them. I collaborate with other professionals to create graphics, policy documents, visual summaries, and more, providing a one-stop shop for your science communication needs."

How we tailor media to your audience

We use story arcs, relatable characters, and conversational tones to communicate effectively. Our expertise lies in taking complex ideas and distilling the key components into simple, memorable video nuggets.

We ‘listen’ rather than ‘know’

We understand that each video has a unique target audience, and we are adept at learning and adjusting our approach for each group. We have developed videos for audiences with:

  • Learning difficulties

  • Specific physical disabilities/illnesses

  • Unusual body types

  • Specific mental health issues

  • Participants with English as a Second Language

  • Specific ethnicities and age groups

  • Children as young as five up to young adults

  • Key decision makers (funders/policy makers)

  • Specific professional groups
